Magnesium oxide is an important raw material in the coating of oriented silicon steel, mainly plays the role of isolating agent to prevent the strip from sticking at the stage of high temperature annealing, si in acelasi timp, it can remove impurities such as nitrogen and sulfur in the steel, in addition to reacting with the silicon dioxide on the surface of the silicon steel, to form an excellent insulating substrate of magnesium silicate. Therefore, the coating quality of magnesium oxide coating liquid on the surface of oriented silicon steel plays a vital role in the quality of silicon steel products.

Barrier
Magnesium oxide is used as a barrier to prevent the strip from sticking at the high temperature annealing stage, which requires a uniform layer of magnesium oxide coating liquid to be applied to the upper and lower exterior surfaces of the strip.

Enhancement of its mechanical properties
The use of magnesium oxide for silicon steel coatings allows the formation of a film with orientation on the surface of silicon steel, thus enhancing its mechanical properties.
